sitecoach Issue No. 1 · 2026

A field journal for your website

Your website is trying
to tell you things.

site.coach is a hand-kept journal for your small business — an AI that watches a week of real visitors, takes notes, and brings you two or three things to try each Monday morning.

I The premise

Analytics weren't made for the people running the shop.

Google Analytics shows you graphs. Meta Ads shows you graphs. Hotjar shows you graphs. None of them tell you what to actually do — and most owners only open the tabs once a quarter, then close them again.

site.coach is the opposite of a dashboard. Once a week, your coach reads what your visitors did, what your content says, and what you've said about yourselves — then writes a short brief.

An owner shouldn't have to be a data scientist to run a corner shop online.

Two or three things to try, in plain language. With reasoning. Always with the option to push back, comment, or tell the coach you've already tried that.

The coach gets sharper the longer it watches. By Issue 4, it's writing about your specific visitors and your specific copy — not generic best practices.

II How it works

Four entries make a journal.

Setup is short. The watching takes a week. Then the issues start landing on Monday mornings.

01 · Install
A one-line snippet.

Paste a single <script> tag into your site's head. Three minutes. Once a real visitor loads the page, your dashboard turns green.

02 · Connect
Plug in your accounts.

GA4, Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads. Optional, but the more signals you connect, the sharper the coach gets.

03 · Watch
A week of observation.

Sessions, recordings, your content, your voice of customer. Everything stays in your private workspace — no shared corpus, no training, no leakage.

04 · Read
Monday morning, an issue.

Two or three recommendations, each with reasoning and the sessions or quotes that prompted them. Drag through the kanban as you work them.

III Instruments

Six things the coach pays attention to.

The instruments cooperate. A change in copy is read against a change in bounce; a quote from a customer is read against the page they landed on.

01
Session recordings

Actual visits, end to end. Mouse, scroll, clicks. The coach samples — it doesn't review every one.

02
Page content

Every page on your site, crawled and indexed. The coach reads your copy the way visitors do.

03
Voice of customer

Reviews, support tickets, sales-call transcripts. The coach quotes your customers back at you.

04
Connector analytics

GA4, Meta, Google, LinkedIn — read together, not as separate graphs. Funnel math, weekly delta, paid vs. organic.

05
Brand foundations

Your messaging library — positioning, audience, voice. The coach keeps recommendations on-brand by reading these first.

06
Recurring patterns

What changed week over week, what you accepted, what you pushed back on. The coach learns your business as it goes.

IV A specimen

What an issue looks like.

A real recommendation, from a real coach run. Each issue has two or three of these — short, specific, with the sessions or quotes that prompted them.

You comment, accept, or push back. The next issue learns from what you said.

Issue 04
Priority 1 · Desktop checkout

Your hero CTA reads as ad copy. Visitors are scrolling past it.

Last week, 71% of desktop visitors scrolled past your hero without clicking. The button copy ("Discover Our Range") reads like banner-ad language. The visitors most likely to convert are searching for one specific thing — try "Shop garden tools" for a week and we'll measure the lift.

What it costs.

One issue is the right fit for most shops. The other tiers exist for owners who only want to peek, and for owners who want a coach in the building every day.

VI Marginalia

Things people ask.

If yours isn't here, the coach itself can probably answer it once you're signed in.

No. The coach is built around a specific funnel-analysis methodology developed by Jill Wise — a brand strategist who's spent twenty years working with small businesses. It's a real practice rendered into prompts, tools and a working memory. (And yes, Claude does the heavy lifting under the hood.)
No. Each customer has their own private corpus. Nothing crosses tenant boundaries. We don't train anyone's model on your data, and we don't sell it.
Recordings are how the coach sees what visitors actually do — not just what they click. Personal data is masked on our end, the recordings only ever live on your dashboard, and you can disable recording per-page if you'd like.
Yes — and you should. Comment, dismiss, or have the coach re-examine. The coach reads your past pushbacks before writing the next issue, so it learns the things that aren't right for your business.
site.coach is built by a small team working with Jill Wise. The product is open about what it is — a small set of opinions pointed at your data, applied weekly.
